About Nustreet Counseling

Nustreet Counseling, LLC was established in 2020 as a telehealth therapy practice with the mission of expanding access to mental health care for all members of the community, with an emphasis on providing culturally responsive care to Black, Indigenous, people of color, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities.

Life is complicated, and most of us will encounter a mental health challenge throughout our lifetime. Nustreet Counseling is committed to providing affordable and culturally relevant mental health counseling to all members of our community.

Services

I provide individual counseling to adolescents and adults. I maintain a strengths-based and client-centered approach to counseling. I believe all individuals have the innate skills and resources within them to overcome life’s challenges; sometimes we all need a little support in harnessing our inner strengths and abilities.

Environmental and systemic barriers often provide a challenge to our mental health and well being. Issues including systemic racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, classism, ableism, ageism, and xenophobia plague our society; and while these issues impact all of us, they disproportionately and more deeply impact individuals and communities who maintain minority identities. Growing up in a community that did not reflect my identity or culture, I am intimately familiar with the struggle that can come with trying to establish your identity and place in a system that was not designed for you.
